All sculptures are automatically entered into the NZ Rural Sculpture Award, NZ Rural Sculpture Open Award, Creative Cocky Award (depending on eligibility), Small Sculpture Award (if applicable), Local Yokel Award (depending on eligibility), Merit awards and the People’s Choice Sculpture Award.

Small Sculpture Award - Open to sculptures with dimensions not exceeding 1 metre in any direction. Sculptures in this category will be displayed in the Small Sculpture Tent.

Manufacturing & Engineering Sculpture Challenge - Open to a combined team effort from manufacturing or engineering businesses. The criteria is unlimited and the sculpture can be made from any material.

Give It a Go Award - Open to novice sculptors who are new and inexperienced in sculpture creation. There is no entry fee for this category; however, participation means the sculpture will not be eligible for any other awards.
