Camping

NZ’s national camping club, ’All Points Camping NZ’ has camping and caravan sites available from Friday afternoon for all campers, including those with tents and mobile homes, in the paddock immediately adjacent to the venue. This has easy access toilets and kitchen facilities.

Mobile homes sites are also available from Friday afternoon for Members of the NZ Motor Caravan Association.

Kimbolton, Kiwitea, Cheltenham, Rangiwahia & Apiti are close to the event.

Feilding is the nearest market town and Palmerston North the nearest city.

At both the Kimbolton Hotel and the Apiti Tavern there are motor home and caravan sites with food and beverage on tap.

In Kimbolton Village you can rent rooms in a historic bank or stay in a tiny house. Five minutes away Kiwitea offers a modern apartment, a cute cabin and all around there are farm stay B&Bs. Makoura Lodge and Rathmoy Lodge can take large group bookings.

Eat

Manawatū has outstanding places to grab a bite to eat both in the city and in the countryside. In Feilding, some standouts include Piccolos, Amayjen the Restaurant and The Strong Room. In the wider region, Ginger Bird in Colyton is a café not to be missed, along with The Herb Farm Café in Ashhurst. Hansen’s Café and Store and the Kimbolton Hotel & Sculpture Café in Kimbolton and the Apiti Tavern and Eatery are other great spots for lunch.
